There are a few options to link to a PDF in Squarespace 7. Click the gear icon to open your link options. Upload the PDF by dragging and dropping the file to where it says upload file.
Optional: toggle on the open in new window option so the browser will load the PDF in a new window or tab. From any page on your site select edit from the top left hand side of the site preview to enable edit mode.
Hover over your site header until you can click on the button edit site header. Toggle on the first option to enable the button. Select edit from the top left hand side of the site preview to enable edit mode. Images capture the eye and they give the visitor an insight into what exactly they are downloading. The process is very similar. Start by adding an Image content block. Once your image is uploaded, select the Design tab.
Scroll down until you see Clickthrough URL. Select Files and add your PDF. Depending on the image display you select under Design , you have the option to include a button alongside the image.
